Skin the Cat Regression

Skin the cat is one of the best bodyweight movements to build strong and mobile shoulders. It may be frightening to do this for the first time on a higher bar or even just to be upside down, so here’s a step by step regression you can work on! ⠀

– Hands shoulder width apart, widen your hands if your hips are getting stuck
– Elbows locked throughout
– Step up on the parallel bar to assist you
– Push your knees through your arms
– Lower your body down slowly⠀
– Extend a leg to the floor on the way down
– Keep feet & knees together⠀
– Push off the floor to tuck back through
